Thanks  to all who have given me bags full of Quinces  rather ugle loking fruit but makes the most delicious jelly and I ahve experimented with Quince and orange marmalade thanks to Harriet who gave me the most enormous Quinces ever and found the recipe. Its good to ring the changes and I hope to sell the Jellies with a newly designed label ( thanks NIK!)  

There has been an ABUNDANCE of Autumn fruit  lots  of Apples too.. but sadly lots have been dumped as we lose the will to cook and make use of  wonderful fruit. WHAT A WASTE! 

FROM FIELD TO FARM HOUSE!

I  have  always had a passion for good food and as a former teacher I'm  keen to use our farm and my  produce to promote the message of healthy and local food. I go into schools and have school trips and most involve JAM Tastings! Tasty Jam brings a smile to most f aces Young and Old!

I started  SANDRA’S JAMS in the summer of 2005 using fruit grown on the farm or picked locally. I use  no artificial additives so  each jar is jam packed with fruit. A treat at any time  of the year - a real “Jam for all Seasons!

Flavours  - Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Plum, Raspberry & Rhubarb, Gooseberry, Strawberry & Gooseberry, Damson,  Blackcurrant, Pear and Chocolate Lemon Curd, Seville Orange Marmalade and Spicy Chutney.

Mini breakfast style jars come in Strawberry, Raspberry& Rhubarb, Blackcurrant and Marmalade.

Sandra’s jams are on sale at Blaby  Farmers  Markets and these local shops.

Sandra serves as a Director of  Leicestershire Food Links  www.leicestershirefoodlinks.org.uk a non-profit co-operative set up 11 years ago to support farmers, local produce and improve access to locally produced food.

It currently runs 6 FARMA accredited Farmers’ Markets.

Sandra describes herself as a “Jammy Journalist!” giving lots of talks on the subject. She worked as a Broadcast Journalist for the BBC for 16 years and now delivers media training, PR and radio projects. Nationally she is the Media Specialist on the Christian Muslim Forum www.christianmuslimforum.org.uk and chairs the local Leicestershire Churches Media Trust.
