Why not have a party with a difference? We can arrange children’s parties using our outdoor space, play barn and tea room. With now have our new larger wooden play barn which can now cater for more children playing in the sand pit, straw bales, Wendy house and slide and lots of ride on Tractors. Designed for the under 8's it has picnic tables in so that adults can keep on eye on their children while enjoying a cuppa and cake maybe! We now have a Party leaflet with all the details on which will make booking easier. Send for one sandra@whetstonepasturesfarm.com or ring 0116 2774 627
We cater for school and college visits, providing craft activities, farm walks and outdoor learning. We are members of FACE Farming and Countryside Education, LEAF Linking Environment and Farming and Let Nature Feed your Senses. Grants are available for some visits, especially disadvantaged and disabled groups.
Our own wood fired PIZZA OVEN is available for making and baking your own Pizzas at special events and by request for parties. What better way to engage with food than by kneading dough , selecting your toppings and eating your pizza straight from the oven! The flour comes from Claybrooke Mill just as our flour for all our scones for our Cream teas.
Our Panning for Gems and Fossils attraction makes a fun addition to any party. Children love finding the hidden treasure in their individual bags of dirt. Cost is £3 bag.
Our new farm trailer which is wheelchair friendly is also available for farm tours. Ideal for school visits and special events - fun for the whole family. We took over 800 on farm visits with tinies, toddlers, teenagers and the elderly enjoying a farm tour with Farmer Anthony! Its amazing how much is learnt about farming and wildlife while enjoying a ride in the country air.
We supported many charities in 2011 including Samaritans, Send a Cow, Intercare Chilean Earthquake appeal, LOROS and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Look out this years events to see what's on in 2012 and charities supported. This year we will be marking the Queens Jubilee and the Olympics.. busy year ahead!!
